The increase in energy demand, the scarcity of resources, as well adverse environmental impact burning fossil fuels make it necessary to diversify sources used. This also applies residential sector, which accounts for a significant proportion global consumption. Particular attention should be paid water heating, importance this process balance buildings is steadily increasing. One methods used decrease consumption heating recover heat from greywater. However, commercially available horizontal drain recovery (DWHR) units are characterized by low effectiveness, creates need further research improve it. aim paper was evaluate possibility improving effectiveness circular DWHR unit through use baffles. Six different baffle models installation greywater section exchanger were analyzed. tests conducted under assumption on shower waste pipe. They showed that equipped with baffles higher several much 40% compared without tantamount an annual financial savings resulting recovery, reduction CO2 emissions into atmosphere. not possible clearly identify optimum model. In any case, selection consider hydraulic conditions before installing results can provide guidance companies interested bringing new equipment and technologies market.
